I was fortunate to stay in a room that was beautifully furnished and is amongst the most comfortable I have stayed in. The indoor and outdoor bathroom added a touch of luxury to my stay. However, I discovered I could have upgraded to a much better room for half the price, which was a missed opportunity.

The room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The indoor and outdoor bathroom added a luxurious touch to my stay.
Service
6.0
The service was quite impersonal when we arrived as no one was available, but the maid eventually helped us. On the bright side, they met us, showed us to our rooms, served us breakfast the next day, and even checked us out. However, the staff kept very much to themselves, creating an impersonal experience due to extremely rude behavior.

The dining experience was good overall, and I especially recommend trying the udon soups. It's the best stopover if you're driving the garden route. Unfortunately, during my visit, the dining was affected by a local bike race, limiting some options.

The lodge offers excellent facilities, making the stay more enjoyable, despite some limitations due to the bike race event.
